CMS Plumbing & Heating, Inc is a family-owned business that has been providing Plumbing, Heating & Cooling services to homeowners and general contractors in Chelmsford since 1976. Our founder, Chuck Mulik, started out as an appliance repairman back in the 1970’s. While making a living repairing appliances and running his own little ice cream stand in Wilmington, MA called “Mr. Whippy’s”. Chuck later went on to trade school nights to obtain his plumbing license, all while raising his family of four children with his wife Rosemary in Wilmington, MA. 

Over the years some of his children became part of the business. His oldest daughter, Darlene, went to school for accounting and became the company bookkeeper in 1992. Her husband Don also joined the business in 1996 and earned his plumbing license under his father-in-law helping service Chelmsford in their plumbing, heating, and cooling needs. After a few years of working for Chuck, Don decided it was time to go off on his own to start his own plumbing company, which he did in 1999. Don owned and operated D&D Services for 20 years while also servicing Chelmsford.

After Don’s departure, Chuck’s youngest son Dave got involved in the business in 2000 to help him service Chelmsford. He worked beside his father learning and training to eventually obtaining his master plumbing license. Dave helped his father grow the business with bringing new ideas and technology, to then becoming President and 50% owner of CMS Plumbing & Heating, Inc in 2018.

At that time, the business was growing and thriving.  D&D Services eventually merged with CMS Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling so that Don and Dave could take over the reins of the family business while Chuck retired over the next few years. This allowed them to combine their specialties to better service towns like Chelmsford. As of today, Chuck still has a small active role participating in the business. He enjoys his winters in Florida with his wife Rosemary and his summers back in New England with his children and grandchildren. CMS Plumbing & Heating, Inc. has been family owned and servicing Chelmsford for over 45 years. Our family bond and expertise are what we want to extend to our employees and customers. CMS Elite Customer Program FAQ’s

How do I Become A CMS Elite Customer?
We’re glad you asked! There’s a few ways to join. First, you can always call us at 978-267-5985. Second, you can fill out our form at CMSPlumb.com/Elite with your information and someone from our office will give you a call to get you setup. If you already have a payment on file, we can automatically bill it to your card. You have the option to be billed monthly or one sump annual payment. (All contracts and renewals are a 12 month period).
How do I use the CMS Elite Customer Program?

When you are a CMS Elite Customer, your account is flagged in our service and billing software, so when we look at your account to schedule your services, we will automatically know that you are one of the elite.

Does this mean I don't pay for labor?

No, it does not mean you don’t pay for labor. It does mean that you will receive 10% off your services excluding the cost of  equipment replacements. If you have questions if your service will be included, you can contact us by calling us at 978-267-5985 or utilize one of the contact forms on this page. One of our team members will contact you as soon as possible. 

What if I only use my membership once a year?

We understand that CMS Elite Customers want to get the most out of their membership. Even if you only use your membership once a year, you will receieve a 1 year labor warranty on all plumbing, heating, and cooling services. Along with the savings that you will receive on that one service call, you also get 4x longer warranty on our work.

Can I pay monthly instead of annually?

Yes, you can pay for your membership monthly or annually. You can give us a call at 978-267-5985 to sign up for monthly payments. If you sign up from here, simply check off the box to be charged monthly. Keep in mind all contracts are 12 months and cannot be terminated early. Auto renewal of contracts will also be for a 12 month period. If you have any questions, you can also email us at [email protected].

How do I renew my membership?

CMS Elite Customers will have their membership renewed automatically. The card that you have on file with us from your original membership, will automatically get renewed for the year. If you are paying monthly, when it renews, you are enrolled into another 12 months of payments as well. If you want to know when your membership is going to renew, you can email us at [email protected] or call us at 978-267-5985 and someone from our team can get you that information.

How do I cancel my membership?

If you decide you no longer want to be a CMS Elite Customer, we ask that you give us a call at 978-267-5985 so that someone from our team ensure it’s cancelled properly. They will also be able to confirm with you when the last day of your membership will be. However, all memberships are a minimum 1 year commitment. Though, CMS reserves the right to cancel any membership at anytime.

Can I get more protection on my systems?

CMS Plumbing offers another package for customers called Elite PLUS. This program offers everything you get in the Elite program, PLUS maintenance contracts. Keeping up with the maintenance of your home’s systems is critical to avoiding early failure of your home’s most important infrastructure. Our Elite Customer Plus members will receive maintenance contracts on all their systems. A certified technician will come to your house and carry out the recommended maintenance on your system based on the manufacturer’s recommendations. This ensures that your system is running efficiently and can help identify issues before they become critical.
